Dinner and overnight in Meru.
Day 2: Meru National Park
Full day in Meru with morning and afternoon game drives. The park’s rivers attract diverse wildlife including hippos, crocodiles, and elephants.

Mid-day relaxation at your lodge before afternoon exploration.
Dinner and overnight in Meru.
Day 3: Meru – Samburu National Reserve
Morning game drive in Meru before departing for Samburu (approximately 3-4 hours). The landscape transitions from Meru’s lush forests to Samburu’s arid scrubland.
Arrive at your Samburu lodge along the Ewaso Nyiro River for lunch. Afternoon game drive beginning your search for the Samburu Special Five.
The contrast between the parks is striking—same latitude, completely different ecosystems and wildlife.
Dinner and overnight in Samburu.
Day 4: Samburu National Reserve
Morning and afternoon game drives exploring Samburu. Focus on the unique northern species—Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx.
The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts large elephant herds. Leopards are relatively common, and lions hunt the open areas.
Optional Samburu cultural experience in the evening.
Dinner and overnight in Samburu.
Day 5: Samburu – Nairobi
Morning game drive for final Samburu wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast.
Drive back to Nairobi through the central highlands, arriving in the late afternoon. Hotel or airport drop-off.
